Zach Edey Nba Draft Year

Zach Edey Withdraws from 2023 NBA Draft

Purdue Center to Return for Senior Season

Edey Projected as Mid-First Round Pick in 2024 Draft

Zach Edey, the consensus national player of the year in men's college basketball, has opted out of the 2023 NBA Draft and will return to Purdue for his senior season. The decision was announced on May 31, 2023.

Edey was projected to go No. 15 overall in ESPN's latest NBA Mock Draft. However, after a breakout season in which he averaged 22.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game, he has decided to return to Purdue to further develop his skills.

Edey is now considered a mid-first to second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He is an elite rebounder and defender with a soft touch around the rim. He also has good size and athleticism for his position.

Edey's return to Purdue is a major boost for the Boilermakers, who are expected to be a contender for the national championship next season. He will be joined by a talented cast of teammates, including point guard Braden Smith and forward Caleb Swanigan.
